Dear prospective BIT11 participants,

The Organizing Committee,
after considering all harsh boundary conditions,
is pleased to announce a partial waiver of BIT11 registation fee

for UNDERGRADUATE students (before MSc) students:

undergraduate PTBI members: 50 PLN
undergraduate PTBI non-members: 100 PLN

... provided that they present a poster
(one per person, does not have to be a research presentation, can be also a "review" of some topic, presentation of some problem, info about activities of a relevant student society etc., abstract should be uploaded by May 24, 2011).

Students paying the reduced fee will receive conference materials only in electronic format.

Student annual fee for PTBI membership is 40 PLN http://ptbi.org.pl/.

Dear All,

We cordially invite you to participate in 2011 workshop "BioInformatics in Torun - BIT11".

This annual conference, to be held on June 2-4, 2011 in Torun, is co-organized by Polish Bioinformatics Society and the Faculty of Physics, Astronomy and Informatics of N. Copernicus University, Torun, Poland. Lectures and the poster session (June 2,3) will be hosted by Center for Quantum Optics, Grudziądzka 5 Street, Torun. Tutorials (June 4, Sat) will be presented at the Institute of Physics, Grudziądzka 5 Street.

The workshop gathers renown international experts in bioinformatics and molecular modeling. The aim of BIT11 is to review the recent progress in the field with strong emphasis on new methods rather than detailed applications.

There are still some time slots for contributed lectures, interested parties should send their interests and abstracts before April 20, 2011. We encourage younger scientists to present posters.

The workshop language is English.

Registration deadline - May 24th.
The registration fee is 250 zł (waiver for invited lecturers apply), for PTBI members the registration fee is 200 zł, for students-PTBI members fee is 150 zł, and it covers participation in sessions, coffee breaks, a sightseeing tour.
Organizers may help you to arrange a reasonable accommodation in Torun.

Students (undergraduate!) of bioinformatics may apply for a waiver of the registration fee to The Organizing Committee.
